"Her Fearful Symmetry" by Audrey Niffenegger is an enchanting tale about twins who go off to live in their deceased aunt's flat in London. The aunt's name is Elspeth who has just died from a serious illness, who in death, takes the shape of an ethereal being stuck in her own flat. With finely drawn characters such as Martin, with a horrible case of OCD, and Robert, who is Elspeth's former lover, "Her Fearful Symmetry", will have you questioning the line between life and death and the hereafter.

"After the Fall" is a look at life after the impact of adultery. Written by Kylie Ladd, a clinical psychologist, who writes a tale about Kate and Luke who fall into a disastrous affair. Their respective spouses also fall into a desperate entanglement. With an Aussie slant, this book provides depth from various perspectives, keeping the reader attached to the characters. This book focuses on the self deception and betrayals that occur due to the infidelity and the dreaded ramifications that result.

"Heart of the Matter" is by Emily Griffin and also revolves around the theme of infidelity. Narrated in turns by the two central characters, Tess and Valerie, you get a good perspective on how infidelity starts from both points of view, the other woman, and the betrayed wife. The book does a good job of dealing with the guilt and uncertainty of the other woman, and the malaise and questioning on Tessa's part. While a familiar theme, Griffin makes the characters sympathetic and endearing with very human frailties and qualities.

Elizabeth George does it again in her Inspector Lynley series with "Body of Death". A young women is murdered and left in a cemetery. With a broad range of characters and new ones such as Isabell Ardery, and the old standbys of Deborah and Simon St. James, this novel is sure to please not only new readers to the series but true fans of Elizabeth George. With her fine hand she is able to create three dimensional characters that live well beyond the books.
